SpaceX’s Starship Successfully Deploys Test Payload in Historic Flight

SpaceX completed a major milestone on Tuesday night with the latest test of its Starship mega rocket, successfully deploying eight dummy satellites into space before splashing down in the Indian Ocean after just over an hour in orbit.

The test flight, the 10th for Starship, lifted off from SpaceX’s Starbase in Texas at 6:30 p.m. local time. This marks the first time a Starship has carried a test payload into space, bringing the rocket closer to its goal of human space missions to the moon and Mars.
