Lion Reportedly Spotted in Famous Housing Society in Islamabad

The Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) has reported a possible lion sighting in the Police Foundation Housing Society, O-9.

According to the IWMB, a rescue team immediately reached the area after receiving the report and coordinated with Punjab Wildlife, Rescue 1122, and the Police Foundation to ensure the animal can be safely handled if confirmed.

The board emphasized that public safety is the top priority and assured residents that all measures are being taken following established protocols. Efforts are ongoing to verify the sighting and take necessary action.

Residents have been advised to remain vigilant until the situation is clarified. The IWMB confirmed it will continue working with relevant authorities to ensure safety for both the public and any wildlife involved.
