GREENVILLE, N.C. – The 2025 Little League Softball World Series continued with high drama on Friday, August 8, as teams from Tulsa, Oklahoma (Southwest Region) and Floyds Knobs, Indiana (Central Region) secured their spots in their respective bracket finals after thrilling elimination game victories.
In the Purple Bracket, Oklahoma edged Lake Mary, Florida (Southeast Region) 3-1, with pitcher Harmoneigh White delivering the moment of the tournament – a ninth-pitch walk-off home run to center field. The clutch blast sends Oklahoma into Saturday’s bracket championship against Johnstown, Pennsylvania (Mid-Atlantic Region) in a rematch of Thursday’s 1-0 defeat.
Meanwhile, in the Orange Bracket, Indiana battled past Iwate, Japan (Asia-Pacific Region) in a tense 1-0 contest. Briley Mercer dominated on the mound with 12 strikeouts, allowing no hits and sealing the win with the final out at first base. Kennedy Nickels provided the game’s only run with an RBI single in the fourth inning. The victory marks Indiana’s first trip to a bracket final since 2017, where they will face host team Pitt County, North Carolina.
