NADRA Launches Fast-Track CNIC Registration Drive in Flood-Hit Swat and Buner
Swat/Buner : The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched a special fast-track registration campaign in flood-affected areas of Swat and Buner to ensure displaced families quickly regain access to identity services and government relief programs.
Mobile Vans Providing On-the-Spot CNICs
In collaboration with the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), NADRA has deployed mobile registration vans to issue Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) on the spot. These mobile units are also processing urgent registrations for families seeking relief assistance.
Registration teams are actively serving flood-hit communities in Lundikass and Babuzai (Swat) and multiple areas of Buner, enabling residents to obtain valid CNICs needed to access aid packages, social protection schemes, and government benefits.
Relief Efforts Continue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The initiative comes in response to recent monsoon floods that devastated parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, displacing hundreds of families, submerging villages, and destroying infrastructure.
Alongside NADRA’s support, humanitarian organizations including OneUmmah and Penny Appeal are distributing food supplies, clean drinking water, and hygiene kits to flood-affected households.
NICOP Fee Revision for Overseas Pakistanis
Separately, NADRA has also announced a revision in fees for the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). The updated charges apply to citizens living in Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
The NICOP — also available for the family members of overseas Pakistanis — serves as a crucial identity document, ensuring recognition of Pakistani nationality while offering access to multiple services and benefits abroad.
