New School and College Timings Announced Across Punjab

Punjab Schools to Reopen on August 15, 2025 — Final Decision on Holiday Extension Awaited

Lahore: The Punjab government has officially announced that all public and private schools across the province will reopen on Thursday, August 15, 2025, marking the end of the summer vacation period. However, concerns remain among parents and educators about the possibility of a further extension due to the ongoing extreme heatwave affecting parts of the province.

Uncertainty Lingers Over School Reopening Amid Heat Concerns

As per an earlier notification issued in May, regular academic sessions are scheduled to resume on August 15. Still, low attendance is expected on reopening day due to the uncertain weather situation and the upcoming weekend. If no further delay is announced, full academic operations are expected to resume from Monday, August 18.

The provincial government has yet to issue a formal statement regarding an extension of the summer break, noting that any update will be based on the final review of prevailing weather conditions in the coming days.
