Pakistan’s Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal Shine at Asian Squash Championships

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s squash stars Noor Zaman and Nasir Iqbal made a strong start at the Asian Individual Squash Championships in Sarawak, Malaysia, securing impressive wins in their opening matches, according to a press release issued on Monday.

Noor Zaman delivered a solid performance to defeat Singapore’s Aaron-Jon Widjaja Liang with a 3-1 scoreline. The game scores were 11-7, 6-11, 11-6, 11-3, reflecting Noor’s composure and control after dropping the second game.

Meanwhile, Nasir Iqbal showed dominant form as he secured a straight-set victory over South Korea’s Jaejin Yoo, winning 11-5, 11-2, 11-4 to advance comfortably to the next round.

Next Matches

Both Pakistani players are set to compete again on Wednesday in the third round of the tournament as they continue their pursuit of the championship title.
