Pakistan vs Afghanistan: T20 Tri-Series Final in Sharjah

Sharjah, UAE – Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and chose to bat first in the highly anticipated final of the T20 International tri-series on Sunday.

Pakistan booked their place in the title clash after securing two convincing wins against the United Arab Emirates, while Afghanistan edged past the UAE with a thrilling 4-run victory on Friday to confirm their spot.


Recent Form & Head-to-Head

This tri-series, played as a warm-up ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 (starting September 9), has seen both finalists test each other twice:

  • Pakistan beat Afghanistan in the opener by 39 runs.

  • Afghanistan struck back in their second meeting, winning by 18 runs.

With the ledger tied at 1-1, Sunday’s clash is the ultimate decider.
