October 10, 2025 | Karachi
Pakistani climber Asad Ali Memon has achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully completing the Seven Summits Challenge, becoming one of the few mountaineers in the world — and among the youngest — to scale the highest peaks on all seven continents.
Historic Achievement for Pakistan
Asad completed the challenge after conquering Puncak Jaya in Indonesia, the tallest mountain in Oceania, marking the final summit in his extraordinary journey. His latest climb cements his place among Pakistan’s most celebrated adventurers and mountaineers.
“Completing the Seven Summits is not just a personal victory — it’s a moment of pride for Pakistan,” Asad said in a statement shared after his successful ascent.
Journey Across Seven Continents
The 27-year-old began his Seven Summits journey in 2019 with Mount Elbrus in Europe. Over the years, he went on to scale:
-
Aconcagua in South America (2020)
-
Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa (2021)
-
Denali in North America (2022)
-
Mount Everest in Asia (2023)
-
Mount Vinson in Antarctica (early 2025)
-
and finally, Puncak Jaya in Oceania (2025)
With this achievement, Asad joins an elite group of Pakistani climbers, including Samina Baig and Mirza Ali Baig, who have previously completed the Seven Summits Challenge.
Inspiration for Young Adventurers
Asad’s success is being widely celebrated across social media and mountaineering circles in Pakistan. Admirers praised his discipline, endurance, and passion for adventure sports. His journey not only showcases the growing talent in Pakistan’s mountaineering community but also inspires young climbers to pursue their dreams.
