ICC Test Rankings Update: Pakistan’s Noman Ali Reaches Career-Best Position
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest Men’s Test Player Rankings following the conclusion of the World Test Championship 2023–25 cycle—and there’s good news for Pakistan fans.
Among the biggest movers is Pakistan’s seasoned left-arm spinner Noman Ali, who has achieved a major career milestone by climbing to No. 4 in the ICC Test Bowling Rankings. The 38-year-old spinner reached a career-best rating of 806 after a standout performance against the West Indies.
Noman’s rise is particularly noteworthy, considering he made his international debut at the age of 34. Since then, he has become a key figure in Pakistan’s Test bowling attack, especially on home soil. Known for his accuracy, stamina, and ability to bowl long spells, Noman has played a crucial role in several of Pakistan’s recent Test victories.
His recent leap in the rankings has seen him move ahead of top international bowlers such as Josh Hazlewood, Nathan Lyon, and Marco Jansen. He now sits just behind Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, and current No. 1 Test bowler Jasprit Bumrah.
The latest rankings reflect Noman Ali’s consistency and late-career resurgence, showcasing that experience and determination continue to make a difference at the highest level of the game.
