Pakistan to Host Historic T20I Tri-Series with Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in November 2025

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that it will host a T20 International tri-series in November, featuring Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The tournament will run from 17 to 29 November 2025, marking the first-ever T20I tri-nation series held in Pakistan.

A New Chapter in Pakistan’s Cricket Calendar

The tri-series comes at a busy time for Pakistan cricket, with the team also set to host South Africa for two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is from 12 October to 8 November. Just days later, fans will see Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka in action across Rawalpindi and Lahore.

The competition is seen as valuable preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled in India and Sri Lanka.

Matches and Venues

  • 17 Nov – Pakistan vs Afghanistan, Rawalpindi

  • 19 Nov – Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan, Rawalpindi

  • 22 Nov – Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, Lahore

  • 23 Nov – Pakistan vs Afghanistan, Lahore

  • 25 Nov – Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan, Lahore

  • 27 Nov – Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, Lahore

  • 29 Nov – Final, Lahore

Rawalpindi will host the opening two matches, while Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will stage the remaining five, including the grand final.

Historic Firsts for Afghanistan

The opening clash between Pakistan and Afghanistan on 17 November will be Afghanistan’s first-ever T20I on Pakistani soil. While they have played ODIs in Pakistan before, this series marks a new milestone in their cricket journey.

Looking Ahead

With two venues, three teams, and seven high-stakes matches, November’s tri-series promises to deliver exciting cricket action. If successful, it could pave the way for more multi-nation tournaments in Pakistan’s future cricket calendar.
