Lahoreโs love for cricket was on full display as the Prime Ministerโs Youth Programme (PMYP), in partnership with Lahore Qalandars, hosted historic open cricket trials. Over 18,000 boys and girls participated across two action-packed days, making it one of the largest talent hunt events in Pakistanโs cricketing history.
The trials, conducted by Lahore Qalandarsโ expert scouting team, gave aspiring cricketers a golden chance to showcase their skills. Known for discovering some of Pakistanโs finest cricket talent, the Qalandarsโ scouts assessed participants through a competitive selection process, offering them a real shot at professional cricket.

The massive turnout highlighted not only Lahoreโs unmatched cricket enthusiasm but also the value of joint efforts between the government, sports organizations, and the private sector in nurturing young talent.
Lahore Qalandars CEO Atif Rana thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PMYP Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for their full support in making this vision a reality.
