PSX Settles Just Below 150,000 Mark as Rally Continues

PSX KSE-100 Index Surges 1,574 Points in Bullish Trading

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) saw strong gains on Tuesday as the benchmark KSE-100 Index climbed 1,574 points (1.06%), closing at 149,771 points, up from 148,196 points in the previous session.

Trading volume rose sharply, with 809 million shares exchanged compared to 610 million shares the day before. The total market turnover reached Rs. 48.43 billion, up from Rs. 39.17 billion.

A total of 483 companies traded shares, with 265 gaining, 194 declining, and 24 remaining unchanged.

  • Bank of Punjab: 46 million shares at Rs. 14.76

  • Fauji Cement: 43.7 million shares at Rs. 53.48

  • Bhanero Textile Mills Limited: Up Rs. 92.78, closing at Rs. 1,020.56

  • The Thal Industries Corporation Limited: Up Rs. 53.85, closing at Rs. 623.85

Biggest Losers

  • PIA Holding Company Limited: Down Rs. 303.10, closing at Rs. 27,698.00

  • Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited: Down Rs. 121.75, closing at Rs. 31,778.25

The PSX’s bullish momentum reflects renewed investor confidence, with significant trading activity across multiple sectors.
