Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has announced new government-fixed prices for flour and roti, making it clear that no one will be allowed to sell above the notified rates.
According to the new rates:
-
10-kg flour bag: Rs. 905
-
20-kg flour bag: Rs. 1810
-
Roti (single piece): Rs. 14
The minister stressed that shopkeepers and suppliers cannot take advantage of floods or other excuses to raise prices. She warned that strict action will be taken against anyone found overcharging or violating the official notification.
“We will not allow anyone to burden citizens by charging beyond the fixed prices,” Bokhari said.
She further added that the provincial government is fully committed to providing relief to the public by keeping essential commodities affordable. The administration has been directed to ensure compliance with the new prices across Punjab.
The official notification has already been issued and circulated in the media so that consumers are aware of the revised rates.
