Safe City Cameras Stolen in Rawalpindi

Surveillance Cameras Stolen from Rawalpindi Safe City Project

RAWALPINDI: In an unusual incident, unidentified individuals have stolen surveillance equipment installed under the Safe City Project in the city.

According to a complaint filed by project employee Talha Afzal, two cameras installed near Sheikh Rashid Bridge in Pirwadhai were taken, along with their UPS unit and memory cards.

A case has been registered at Pirwadhai Police Station, and authorities have launched an investigation.

The stolen equipment, including two Safe City cameras (identified as GS2 and GS3) and a UPS worth Rs. 90,000, is estimated to be valued at around Rs. 260,000 in total.
