ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s world-famous Himalayan Pink Salt has once again gained international recognition, this time as a key ingredient in an award-winning Brazilian soap.

At the Women in Agritech – Global Summit of Women in Agribusiness and Biotechnology, held in Belgium from September 24 to 27, a soap infused with Himalayan Pink Salt won the Global Innovation Award. The product, created under the Savana Amazônica brand in Boa Vista, Brazil, combines Amazonian biodiversity with Pakistan’s pink salt to promote sustainable beauty solutions.

Judges praised the soap for its eco-friendly methods and innovative use of natural resources, drawing attention from investors, experts, and global industry leaders.

Recognition for Pakistan’s Natural Resources

Federal Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan welcomed the achievement, calling Himalayan Pink Salt a “natural treasure” that represents Pakistan’s cultural heritage and economic strength. He emphasized that international collaborations show how local resources can gain value in global high-end industries.

With its growing use in skincare, wellness, and food products, Himalayan Pink Salt continues to attract strong international demand. Experts believe this recognition further strengthens Pakistan’s position as a leading supplier of mineral-rich natural products worldwide.
