NASH Cup 2025: Sabrina Sobhy and Yahya Elnawasany Top Seeds

The Copper-level NASH Cup 2025 – NASH Family Wealth Management is set to take place from September 23–27 at London Squash & Fitness in Canada, with live coverage on SQUASHTV.

USA’s Sabrina Sobhy and Egypt’s Yahya Elnawasany have been named the top seeds for the women’s and men’s draws, respectively, as the tournament returns for its second year as a Copper-tier event on the PSA Squash Tour.

Women’s Field

Sobhy, currently ranked World No.118 after recovering from an injury since September 2024, will look to climb the rankings with a strong performance. The American leads a competitive women’s draw, with Canadian No.1 Hollie Naughton seeded at the bottom half. Potential matchups include quarter-finals against No.5 seed Marie Stephan and a semi-final showdown with No.3 seed Lucy Beecroft.

Other strong contenders include No.4 seed Torrie Malik, No.6 Saran Ngheim, No.7 Nardine Garas, and No.8 Alicia Mead, promising an exciting tournament for fans.

Men’s Field

World No.43 Yahya Elnawasany aims for his first PSA Tour title since December 2021. The Egyptian, last year’s quarter-finalist, opens against either England’s Perry Malik or Sam Todd. The top half of the draw also features No.6 Noor Zaman and South American players Leandro Romiglio (ARG) and Matias Knudsen (COL).

The bottom half sees former World No.3 Omar Mosaad aiming for a return to the final, facing tough competition including No.7 Melvil Scianimanico, No.3 Moustafa Elsirty, and No.5 Veer Chotrani.

Local Talent

Home fans can cheer for four Canadian players in addition to Naughton: Wildcards Nikki Todd, Liam Marrison, Brett Schille, and Salah Eltorgman.
