Three Police Officers Killed, Two Injured in Pennsylvania Shooting

York County, Pennsylvania: A tragic shooting incident in North Codorus Township, York County, left three police officers dead and two others critically injured on Wednesday, authorities confirmed. The suspect involved in the confrontation was also killed by police.
Shooting During Investigation
According to Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Colonel Christopher Paris, the officers were at the location to follow up on an investigation that had begun the previous day. He described the case as “domestic-related” but declined to provide further details.
Local media reported that the officers were attempting to serve a search warrant when gunfire broke out.
Victims and Response
Three officers lost their lives in the exchange, while two others sustained critical injuries. Both were transported to a nearby hospital, where they remain in critical but stable condition.
The identity of the gunman has not yet been released, and officials have not disclosed the law enforcement agencies the slain officers belonged to.
Governor Shapiro’s Statement
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro visited the hospital to meet with the families of the victims and to honor the officers’ service.
“This is an absolutely tragic and devastating day for York County and for the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” Shapiro said. He urged the public to keep the victims’ families in their prayers, noting the pride they had in their loved ones’ dedication to public safety.
The Governor also confirmed that U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi reached out to offer federal support if needed.

The incident has left the local community in shock, with tributes pouring in for the officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Officials emphasized that further details will be released as the investigation continues.
