Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp rise on Wednesday, with the rate of 24 karat gold increasing by Rs. 2,900 per tola, reaching Rs. 362,200, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This marks a significant jump from the previous day’s price of Rs. 359,300.
The current rate brings gold close to its all-time high of Rs. 364,900 per tola, which was recorded late last month.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold rose by Rs. 2,487, bringing it to Rs. 310,528, compared to Rs. 308,041 previously.
In the international market, gold prices also moved upward. The price per ounce reached $3,395, including a $20 premium, showing a $29 gain, according to APGJSA data.
On the other hand, silver prices also increased, with the rate climbing by Rs. 49 per tola, now standing at Rs. 4,059.
These movements reflect ongoing global economic uncertainty and investor interest in precious metals as safe-haven assets.
