Pakistan Shaheens Announce 18-Member Squad for England Tour

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced an 18-member Pakistan Shaheens squad set to tour England from July 17 to August 6. The team will play two three-day matches and three 50-over games, with dates and venues to be confirmed soon.

Saud Shakeel, who has appeared in 19 Tests, will captain the side. He will be supported by three other Test-experienced players: Mir Hamza (7 Tests), Musa Khan (1 Test), and Sajid Khan (12 Tests). Leading run-scorers from the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024-25, Azan Awais (844 runs) and Maaz Sadaqat (646 runs), have also been selected.

The batting lineup includes Ali Zaryab, Haider Ali, Mohammad Suleman, Omair Bin Yousuf, and Shamyl Hussain. Wicket-keeping duties will be handled by Rohail Nazir.

The pace attack features Mushtaq Ahmed, who took 77 wickets in recent first-class competitions, FATA pacer Shahid Aziz, and Ubaid Shah.

The spin department includes wrist spinner Faisal Akram, left-arm spinner Mehran Mumtaz, off-spinning all-rounder Mubasir Khan, and experienced Sajid Khan.

The squad will undergo a training camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi before departing for England on July 16.
