Islamabad Police Launches ‘1INFO’ Mobile App to Enhance Public Safety and Communication
In a move aimed at improving public safety and modernizing law enforcement services, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has launched a new mobile application called 1INFO. The initiative follows the vision of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi and the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
Designed for Quick Response and Community Engagement
The 1INFO app is now available for download through the official Islamabad Police website, Google Play Store, and Apple Store. It is designed to provide citizens with a fast and secure way to connect with police authorities in real time.
The app features two core functions:
-
Emergency Panic Button:
With just one tap, users can alert the Islamabad Police and request immediate assistance. Once activated, nearby rescue teams are automatically dispatched to the user’s location. -
Information Sharing Button:
Citizens can confidentially share tips, report crimes, or raise public safety concerns by sending voice messages, videos, or photographs directly through the app.
Promoting Safer Communities
A police spokesperson emphasized that the app empowers residents to play an active role in maintaining public safety by simplifying the process of reaching out to law enforcement. The application is part of the ICT Police’s broader strategy to bring digital convenience and real-time response to citizens across the capital.
The Islamabad Police has urged all residents to download and use the 1INFO app to ensure quicker emergency response and seamless communication with law enforcement.
