Islamabad to Get Modern Hospital at Cost of Over Rs. 210 Billion

ECNEC Approves Rs. 212 Billion Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Project

Deputy Prime Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Friday, where approval was granted for the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Project, with an estimated cost of Rs. 212 billion.

The project will establish a state-of-the-art tertiary care hospital in Islamabad, featuring fully integrated medical, surgical, and research facilities. It aims to significantly strengthen Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure and provide advanced treatment options to patients nationwide.

Alongside the approval, ECNEC directed the formation of a dedicated committee to oversee financing arrangements and ensure the timely completion of the project.

The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers for Planning and Finance, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, provincial ministers, and senior officials from the Cabinet, Planning, Finance, Health, and Economic Affairs Division (EAD).
