Landslide Damages Murree Expressway

Landslide Partially Blocks Murree Expressway, Restoration Work Underway

A landslide caused by continuous rainfall has damaged a section of the Murree Expressway, prompting authorities to temporarily close one lane of the highway.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Murree, falling rocks from the hillside blocked part of the road. However, the other lane remains open, and traffic is moving without major disruption.

The district administration has begun restoration work and assured that the expressway will be fully reopened soon.

Officials have also advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to hilly areas during the ongoing rainy spell, as a precaution against further landslides.
