England’s Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid Share Views on Pakistan Cricket’s Struggles

Pakistan cricket’s recent dip in form has sparked international debate, with England stars Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid offering their candid thoughts on the issue.

Speaking on their popular Beard Before Wicket podcast, the duo discussed Pakistan’s inconsistent performances, pointing to instability off the field as a major factor behind the team’s decline. The podcast, which has a growing global audience, gave fans fresh insight into how Pakistan’s cricketing troubles are being viewed abroad.

Moeen Ali highlighted how Pakistan, once regarded as one of the most dangerous teams in world cricket, particularly in white-ball formats, have lost continuity due to constant changes in leadership.

“I think Pakistan are just going through a period—have been for a while—where there’s so much change within the government, and that has an effect on the team,” Moeen explained. “Coaches come in but can’t really settle things down, so there’s no stability.”

Despite his concerns, Moeen praised Pakistan’s ability to rise to big occasions. “They still do well and reach finals, especially in ICC tournaments. When we were playing, they were the most dangerous team.”

Adil Rashid echoed Moeen’s views, stressing that the lack of consistency in management and player roles has prevented Pakistan from building momentum. Cricket experts in Pakistan have also raised similar points, linking the team’s struggles to frequent administrative shakeups.

As Pakistan gears up for a packed international calendar, Moeen and Rashid’s comments serve as a timely reminder: while the country continues to produce world-class talent, long-term success will only come if stability is restored at the top.
