PCB Fines Quetta Gladiators Player for Code of Conduct Breach in PSL 11

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a fine on Quetta Gladiators all-rounder Jahandad Khan for breaching the Code of Conduct during a Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) match.
Fine imposed after Level 1 offence
According to official details, Jahandad Khan has been fined 10 percent of his match fee for a Level 1 violation under the PCB Code of Conduct for Players and Support Personnel.
The incident took place during Quetta Gladiators’ match against Rawalpindi at the National Bank Stadium.
What happened during the match
Officials reported that the player violated Article 2.5 of the PSL Code of Conduct, which relates to behaviour or gestures that may be considered provocative or disrespectful towards an opposing batter after dismissal.
The incident occurred in the 18th over of the second innings when Jahandad Khan took a wicket and made a brief gesture following the dismissal.
Match officials’ action
On-field umpires reported the incident, and match referee Roshan Mahanama reviewed the case. The player accepted the charge and agreed to the sanction.
Player’s response
After the match, Jahandad Khan stated that his reaction was unintentional and happened in the heat of the moment. He also added that there was no negative intent and described the dismissed batter as a close friend.
