Punjab to Expand Daanish Schools Network, Approves New Campuses in Underserved Areas
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced the expansion of the Daanish Schools network across the province, with a strong focus on improving educational access in underprivileged districts including Mianwali, Attock, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, and Vehari.
The announcement was made during the 37th meeting of the Punjab Daanish Schools and Centre of Excellence Authority, where key decisions were taken to improve the quality and reach of free education in Punjab.

Four new Daanish Schools approved – two for boys and two for girls – to be established in Taunsa and Mankera.

New Centres of Excellence in Chakwal and Pir Mahal will begin classes later this year.

A Centre of Excellence in Phool Nagar (Kasur) will be included in the Annual Development Programme (ADP).

Student quota for Balochistan increased to promote greater inclusivity across the province.
84% Daanish School Graduates Enrolled in Top Universities
During the session, Managing Director Ahmer Mallick presented the performance review of the Daanish School system. Minister Rana Sikandar highlighted that 84% of Daanish School graduates have secured placements in leading universities, a testament to the quality and credibility of the program.
He emphasized that no student should be denied higher education due to financial challenges and directed that Honhaar Scholarships and PEEF (Punjab Educational Endowment Fund) grants continue to support talented students.
