Rijas/Din and Haroon Sharif Jewellers reach Polo in Pink Cup final
Lahore (24th October 2025): Under the banner of the Lahore Polo Club, the fifth day of the Lahore Smart City Polo in Pink Cup witnessed high-intensity action as Rijas/Din and Haroon Sharif Jewellers qualified for the grand finale, while Master Paints and Pebble Breaker secured their places in the subsidiary final.
The event attracted a sizable crowd, including polo enthusiasts, club members, families, and distinguished guests. Among those present were Club President Malik Azam Hayat Noon, Executive Committee members, the Club Secretary, and prominent polo supporters who added to the vibrant atmosphere of the semifinal day.
In the first semifinal, Rijas/Din delivered an impressive performance to defeat Samba Bank by 7–3. For Rijas/Din, Raja Samiullah was the star of the day, striking four goals, while Mohib Faisal Shehzad added three more. For Samba Bank, Saqib Khan Khakwani, Alman Jalil Azam, and Adnan Jalil Azam scored one goal each.
The second semi-final saw a dominant display by Haroon Sharif Jewellers, who outclassed Lahore Smart City by 11–3½. Brilliant forward Hamza Mawaz Khan put on a stunning showcase of skill, netting eight goals for the winners. Abbas Mukhtar contributed two, while Sheikh Muhammad Farhad scored one. For Lahore Smart City, Agha Musa Ali Khan scored two goals, and Bilal Haye added one.
Earlier in the tournament, Master Paints and Pebble Breaker qualified for the subsidiary final. This year’s Polo in Pink Cup continues to serve as a meaningful initiative promoting breast cancer awareness, women’s empowerment, and family sports participation in Lahore’s polo community. The vibrant turnout and level of competition reflect the club’s growing commitment to expanding the reach and appeal of polo across genders and age groups.
A girls polo exhibition match will take place on Saturday (25th October 2025) at 3:15 pm on Ground No. 2, Lahore Polo Club. This exhibition match aims to promote women’s participation in polo and inspire future female athletes in equestrian sports.
