Security Forces Neutralize 47 Terrorists in Zhob District Operations
RAWALPINDI — Security forces have successfully eliminated 47 terrorists linked to Indian-backed groups during separate operations in Balochistan’s Zhob district, according to an official statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.
The military’s media wing reported that 33 terrorists attempting to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Zhob’s Sambaza area were neutralized overnight between August 7 and 8.
Following this, a targeted sanitization operation was conducted in the nearby region, resulting in the elimination of 14 additional terrorists.
Recovered from the operation were weapons, ammunition, and explosives linked to the militants, identified as members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
“The security forces remain fully committed to safeguarding the nation’s borders and preventing any attempts to disrupt peace, stability, and progress in Pakistan,” the ISPR added.
