Will Punjab Extend Summer Vacations for Schools and Colleges?

Punjab Schools Set to Reopen on August 15, No Official Word Yet on Summer Break Extension

With summer vacations in Punjab scheduled to end on August 15, 2025, many parents and students are awaiting confirmation from the provincial government regarding a possible extension of the holidays.

According to a notification issued earlier in May, all public and private schools across Punjab are expected to reopen on August 15, resuming regular academic activities after the extended summer break.

Awaiting Government Decision

Despite ongoing speculation, no official announcement has been made about extending the holidays. Government officials have stated that any decision will depend on a review of the prevailing weather conditions across the province.

If schools reopen as planned, low attendance is expected on the first day back. However, full academic activities are likely to resume from Monday, August 18, following the weekend.
