EU Pledges €1.05 Million in Emergency Aid for Flood-Hit Pakistan

The European Union (EU) has announced €1.05 million (around Rs. 350 million) in emergency humanitarian assistance for Pakistan, as the country faces devastating flash floods that have killed hundreds and displaced millions.

The aid will be delivered through trusted humanitarian partners and will focus on:

  • Life-saving health services

  • Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) support to prevent disease outbreaks

  • Cash assistance to help the most vulnerable meet essential needs

In a statement, the EU expressed solidarity with Pakistan and offered condolences to the families affected by the disaster.

This support comes alongside recent contributions from other international organizations. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced $3 million in aid, while the United Nations pledged $0.6 million to help flood-affected communities.
