October 7, 2025
Gold prices in Pakistan continued their record-breaking climb on Tuesday, following gains in international markets and touching a new peak in the local bullion trade.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold rose by Rs. 1,500 during the day, bringing the per tola rate to Rs. 416,778.
The rate for 10 grams of gold also saw an increase of Rs. 1,286, reaching Rs. 357,319. This marks another consecutive day of gains, as gold had already surged by Rs. 5,400 on Monday to settle at Rs. 415,278 per tola.
On the global market, gold continued its strong upward trend. APGJSA reported the international price at $3,955 per ounce (including a $20 premium), reflecting a $15 rise for the day. Spot gold traded around $3,960 per ounce, after briefly touching a new high of $3,977.19 earlier in the session.
In contrast, silver prices in Pakistan declined slightly, dropping by Rs. 20 per tola to close at Rs. 4,929.
Analysts attribute the continued strength in gold to global economic uncertainty and safe-haven demand, suggesting that prices could remain elevated in the near term.
