Rossouw and Tariq Power Quetta Gladiators to Convincing Win Over Lahore Qalandars in PSL 11
Quetta Gladiators secured a comfortable six-wicket victory over defending champions Lahore Qalandars in the 26th match of the Pakistan Super League at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
Chasing a target of 135 runs, Quetta reached the total in 16.2 overs, losing four wickets in the process.
Rossouw Anchors the Chase
Quetta’s innings got off to a difficult start with early wickets, but a key partnership helped stabilize the chase. Batter Rilee Rossouw played a match-winning knock, scoring an unbeaten 60 off 49 balls, guiding his team to victory.
He was supported by useful contributions from the middle order, which helped rebuild the innings after early setbacks.
Bowling Sets Up the Win
Earlier, Quetta’s bowlers delivered a strong performance to restrict Lahore Qalandars to 134 runs in 19.5 overs.
Usman Tariq led the bowling attack with an impressive spell, taking three wickets and earning the Player of the Match award. He was well supported by other bowlers who kept consistent pressure on the opposition.
Lahore’s Batting Struggles
Lahore Qalandars lost early wickets and struggled to build partnerships despite brief resistance from the middle order. Several batters got starts but failed to convert them into big scores, limiting their total.
Only a few lower-order contributions helped push the score past 130 before they were bowled out.
Match Summary
Quetta Gladiators’ disciplined bowling effort followed by a composed batting performance ensured a comprehensive win with 22 balls remaining. The result strengthens their position in the PSL 11 standings as the tournament progresses.
