Punjab Expands Free School Meal Program to 10 More Districts

The Punjab government has announced the expansion of its School Meal Program to 10 additional districts across the province.

Under this new phase, the initiative will cover Bhakkar, Mianwali, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Chiniot, Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran, and Vehari. The program provides free meals to students from grades one to five, aiming to improve nutrition and encourage school attendance.

In addition, the provincial education minister confirmed that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the establishment of new Danish Schools in Sarai Alamgir and Phool Nagar, further expanding access to quality education across Punjab.
