Palestinian Prisoner’s Home Demolished by Israeli Forces in West Bank

Ramallah: Israeli forces demolished the home of a Palestinian prisoner in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, according to local sources.

The incident took place in the town where Dawas Hassoun’s family home was located. According to the sources, Israeli forces entered the area, surrounded the house and later destroyed it, causing damage to the property.

Family Evacuated Before Demolition

Local sources said Israeli forces had raided the Hassoun family home a day earlier and ordered residents to leave.

Roads near the property were also closed as preparations were made for the demolition, the sources said.

Hassoun was arrested in March 2026 and has been accused of killing an Israeli man around six months earlier.

Vehicles Burned in Separate Incident

In another incident in the West Bank, two vehicles were set on fire and hostile and racist slogans were reportedly painted on property in Attara, a village north of Ramallah.

Local sources said the village has experienced several similar attacks in recent months. They also linked the situation to the establishment of a settlement outpost near Palestinian homes.

Rising Tensions in the West Bank

The occupied West Bank has continued to experience Israeli military operations, clashes and attacks since the Gaza war began in October 2023.

Local authorities and residents have also reported the expansion of settlement outposts, new road construction and increased restrictions affecting Palestinian movement in several areas.

The latest incidents come amid continuing tensions across the territory and growing concerns over security and access for Palestinian communities.
