USA Announces 20-Player Squad for 2026 WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup

USA Baseball has announced its 20-player roster for the 2026 WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup, which is scheduled to begin on September 25 in Mexico.
The squad was finalised after the completion of the second phase of the USA Baseball 15U National Team Training Camp. The latest camp featured 32 players who took part in workouts and intrasquad games at the National Training Complex from September 16 to 18.
Manager Casey Scott said both stages of the selection camp were highly competitive and made the final decisions challenging for the coaching staff. He added that the team is looking forward to competing for the World Cup title.

Training Camp Led to Final Selection
USA Baseball held its U-15 National Team Training Camp in two stages. The first phase took place from August 6 to 9 and included 64 players, while the second phase from September 16 to 18 reduced the group to 32 athletes.
The programme included on-field workouts and intrasquad scrimmages. The opening phase also featured Prospect Development Pipeline performance assessments.
Experienced Players Included
Seven members of the final squad have previously represented USA Baseball at national-team level. Several were part of the 2023 U-12 National Team programme, including Tyler Early, Bryant Ju, Michael Ohman and Greyson Wuis.
Early, who was named the 2023 USA Baseball Player of the Year and received the Richard W. “Dick” Case Award, returns to the national setup after being part of teams that won gold at both the World Cup Qualifier and World Cup that year.
Paris Head and Raylen Hunter will also seek another World Cup gold medal, while Nate Handley-White returns for a second appearance with the national team.
Coaching Staff
Casey Scott will lead the USA team as manager.
His coaching staff includes Drew Briese as pitching coach, Steve Butler as an assistant coach and JD Pruitt, who is set for his second consecutive stint as an assistant coach.
Briese is a two-time Team USA medalist and previously managed the U-15 National Team.
World Cup Schedule and Groups
The 2026 WBSC U-15 Baseball World Cup will be played from September 25 to October 4 in Mérida, Yucatán, and Cancún, Quintana Roo.
The USA, ranked No. 3 in the world, has been placed in Group B alongside:
- Chinese Taipei
- Venezuela
- Australia
- Nicaragua
- Czechia
Group A consists of Japan, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Germany and South Africa.
Japan enter the tournament as the defending U-15 world champions after defeating Puerto Rico in the 2024 final in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Before the competition begins, the USA squad will continue preparations with workouts and scrimmages at the National Training Complex through September 22.
The United States will begin its World Cup campaign against Czechia in Cancún on September 25.
