Polio Vaccination Campaign Begins Across 13 Punjab Districts

LAHORE: A special polio vaccination campaign has started across Punjab, with health teams targeting children under five in 13 districts.

The campaign was officially launched on Monday at the Nawaz Sharif Centre for Excellence. Representatives from international partner organisations and the Girl Guides, including teachers and young leaders, attended the inauguration ceremony.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister’s Focal Person for Polio Uzma Kardar said the campaign aims to ensure that every eligible child receives the polio vaccine.

She urged parents and caregivers to cooperate with vaccination teams and make sure that children under five receive polio drops during each campaign.

Health authorities regularly conduct vaccination campaigns to increase coverage among young children and support efforts to prevent the spread of poliovirus.

Parents are encouraged to have their eligible children vaccinated whenever health teams visit their homes or designated vaccination points.
