A’ja Wilson Scores 30 as Las Vegas Aces Defeat Seattle Storm 98-77

LAS VEGAS: A’ja Wilson scored 30 points as the Las Vegas Aces defeated the Seattle Storm 98-77 on Sunday night, extending their winning streak to five games.

Wilson converted 16 of 18 free-throw attempts and recorded the 49th 30-point performance of her WNBA career. That ranks second in league history, behind Diana Taurasi’s 54 such games.

The victory improved the Aces’ record to 29-13 and kept them one game ahead of Atlanta in third place. The top four teams in the WNBA standings receive home-court advantage in the opening best-of-three playoff series.

Aces Build Early Lead

Las Vegas established control during the opening quarter with a 21-2 scoring run. Jackie Young scored 12 points during that stretch as the Aces moved ahead 27-12 with 1:40 remaining in the first period.

Seattle responded in the second quarter and twice reduced the deficit to two points. However, the Storm could not take the lead as Las Vegas maintained its advantage for the remainder of the game.

Young finished with 23 points and eight assists after shooting 10 of 15 from the field. Chelsea Gray added 15 points for the Aces.

Storm See Strong Performances

Rookie Flau’jae Johnson led Seattle with a season-high 29 points after making five three-pointers.

Dominique Malonga also had an impressive night, scoring 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting.

The loss dropped Seattle to 8-35. The Storm have now lost 18 of their last 20 games and have secured the league’s lowest record for the 2026 season.

Aces Complete Season Series Sweep

Sunday’s victory came just days after Las Vegas defeated Seattle 114-77 in their previous meeting in Seattle.

The Storm will finish their regular season at home against Dallas on Wednesday, while the Aces will host Los Angeles on Tuesday.
