CDA Proposes Pakistan’s Largest Zip Line in Islamabad’s Margalla Hills

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has proposed constructing what could become Pakistan’s largest zip line in the Margalla Hills as part of efforts to expand tourism and recreational facilities in Islamabad.

According to local media reports, the proposal is linked to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s vision of developing Islamabad as a major tourist destination and attracting more visitors to the capital.

Under the proposed plan, the zip line would stretch approximately 2.83 kilometres through a mountainous valley between Daman-e-Koh and the former Monal site.

CDA officials said the project could contribute to the development of a new tourist area in the Margalla Hills while providing visitors with an additional recreational attraction.

The proposed zip line would follow a loop-style design, allowing visitors to complete the ride and return to the starting point.

The project is currently at the proposal stage and forms part of wider plans being considered to enhance tourism and recreational opportunities in Islamabad.
