Rawalpindi: The School Education Department has instructed all government schools across the Rawalpindi Division to conduct flood preparedness drills as part of safety measures for the ongoing monsoon season.

The directive aims to improve emergency preparedness and help schools respond effectively to heavy rainfall and potential flooding.

Schools Asked to Strengthen Safety Measures

According to an official circular, school administrations have been advised to take immediate steps to protect students, teachers, school buildings, and educational facilities from possible damage caused by monsoon weather.

Schools have also been instructed to safeguard important assets, including:

  • Computer labs
  • Science laboratories
  • Libraries
  • Official records and documents

Reporting Rain-Related Damage

The Education Department has directed school administrations to promptly report any damage caused by heavy rainfall to the relevant district education authorities.

Reports should include details of the affected areas along with an estimated cost for repairs to help facilitate timely action.
