Punjab University Increases Tuition Fees by Up to 59% Starting This Month

LAHORE, July 22Punjab University has officially revised its tuition fee structure, announcing an increase ranging between 16% and 59% across various academic programs. The revised fees are set to take effect from this month.

According to the university’s administration, the average hike across all departments stands at 28%, citing rising operational costs and inflation as contributing factors.

  • LLM Program: Now costs Rs. 5,825 more, marking the highest increase at 59%.

  • D Pharmacy: Fee raised from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 23,000.

  • LLB Program: Faces a 28% hike.

  • BSc, BCom, BBA, and MBA: Undergraduate programs see a 15% increase.

  • Medical Diploma: Adjusted upward by 16%.

University officials confirmed that the Punjab University Syndicate has approved the updated fee schedule after evaluating budgetary needs and institutional sustainability. They emphasized that the revised fees aim to support academic infrastructure, faculty development, and student services.
