Real Madrid Announce Squad for Pre-Season Friendly Against WSG Tirol, Valverde Sidelined
Real Madrid have revealed their squad for Tuesday’s pre-season friendly against Austrian Bundesliga side WSG Tirol, but key midfielder Fede Valverde will miss the match due to a muscle overload.
With Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga already out injured, Valverde’s absence leaves head coach Xabi Alonso with limited senior midfield options as the new season approaches.
After an impressive 4-1 win over Leganes, Los Blancos turn their attention to this first official pre-season test. However, Valverde’s muscle strain, reported by Cadena COPE, means both player and club are cautious ahead of the season opener against Osasuna.
Alonso will now depend on Aurelien Tchouameni, Dani Ceballos, and Arda Guler in midfield. To strengthen the squad, academy talents Thiago Pitarch and Roberto Martin have been called up, providing promising young players a chance to showcase their abilities.
