Durham Cricket Sign Kasey Aldridge on Three-Year Deal from 2026 Season
Durham Cricket have announced the signing of talented bowling all-rounder Kasey Aldridge on a three-year contract starting from the 2026 season. The 6ft 4in right-arm fast bowler will represent the club across all formats, joining from Somerset County Cricket Club.
Loan Spell Impressed Durham Management
Aldridge, 24, said he “didn’t have to think twice” about joining Durham after an impressive loan stint earlier this year.
“My loan spell gave me a real insight into the club’s environment, ambitions, and the fantastic group of players and staff,” Aldridge said. “It’s an exciting place to be, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to commit for the next three years.”
Track Record of Success
Since making his professional debut in 2021, Aldridge has played 60 matches for Somerset, contributing to their 2023 Vitality Blast title win.
During his short time at Durham’s Seat Unique Riverside this season, he claimed his maiden T20 five-wicket haul — an outstanding 5-29 against Nottinghamshire Outlaws — in just his third game.
Durham Confident in His Potential
Durham’s Director of Cricket, Marcus North, revealed that the club had been monitoring Aldridge for a long time.
“Kasey is a highly talented bowling all-rounder who, despite being only 24, has already built strong foundations in all formats,” North said. “He impressed during his loan spell, and we believe he will strengthen our bowling attack and bring a winning mentality to the squad.”

Aldridge also represented England Under-19s in 15 matches, including the ICC Under-19 World Cup, which he credits with developing his ability to perform under pressure.

“I feel ready to take my game to the next level, and Durham is the perfect place to do that,” Aldridge said. “I can’t wait to get going over the winter and help bring silverware to the club.”
Marcus North confirmed the coaching staff are eager to work with him in pre-season, confident he will make a big impact in 2026 and beyond.
