Nigeria is set to welcome world-class boxing for the very first time, as former world champion Amir Khan brings a top-tier fight card to Lagos on 1 October 2025 – coinciding with the nation’s Independence Day celebrations.

Headline Fight: Brandon Glanton vs Rocky Fielding

The main event will feature an exciting cruiserweight showdown between Brandon Glanton and former WBA super-middleweight champion Rocky Fielding, promising fireworks for fans in attendance.

Dan Azeez to Represent Nigerian Heritage

British light-heavyweight Dan Azeez, who has Nigerian roots, is also set to compete on the card. The former British title holder said:

“Fighting in Nigeria on Independence Day is a dream come true. This is for my heritage, my people, and my pride. I’m ready to put on a show and honour Nigeria with every punch I throw.”
