Angola Crowned 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Champions with Perfect Record

LUANDA, Angola: Angola has cemented its place as Africaβs basketball powerhouse, defeating Mali 70-43 in the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Final. The victory gives Angola a record 12 African titles, making them the most successful team in the tournamentβs history.
The Angolan squad finished the tournament undefeated, with a flawless 6-0 record, claiming their first African crown since 2013 in Abidjan, CΓ΄te dβIvoire.
Mali celebrated their best-ever performance, finishing second with a 4-3 record. Senegal secured third place for the third consecutive year after beating Cameroon 98-72 earlier in the day.

Fans filled all 12,700 seats at Luandaβs Kilamba Arena for the third night in a row, witnessing Angolaβs dominant performance. The enthusiastic crowd showcased Africaβs growing love for basketball.
Tournament Awards
