Giants Extend Winning Streak to Six with 15-8 Win Over Orioles
The San Francisco Giants continued their dominant run on Friday night, defeating the Baltimore Orioles 15-8 to extend their winning streak to six games.
The Giants’ offense was unstoppable, outscoring opponents 47-20 during the streak. San Francisco set season highs for runs and hits, with every batter recording at least one hit in the game.
Willy Adames and Luis Matos each contributed four hits, while Dominic Smith homered and drove in four runs. Matos added a solo home run in the fifth inning, and Smith capped a four-run seventh with an RBI single. The Giants scored in all eight innings they batted except the sixth.
Baltimore starter Dean Kremer struggled early, giving up four runs in the first inning, highlighted by Matos’ two-run single. Reliever Spencer Bivens earned the win, holding the Orioles in check after a key two-run single from Ryan Mountcastle cut the lead to 9-6 in the fifth.
Mountcastle had a strong night for Baltimore, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and driving in four runs, but the Giants’ relentless attack proved too much.
San Francisco’s balanced lineup and explosive hitting continue to make them one of the hottest teams in the league, while Baltimore looks to rebound after losing eight of their last nine games.
