Pakistan Wins Two Gold Medals at Asian Junior Squash Championship

Pakistan’s young squash players delivered an impressive performance at the Asian Junior Squash Championship in China, securing two gold medals and highlighting the country’s emerging talent in the sport.

Ahmad Rayan Khalil claimed the Under-15 title with a convincing straight-games victory over Malaysia’s Vedoran Rotheran in the final. His strong performance throughout the tournament earned Pakistan its first gold medal of the event.

Pakistan’s second gold came in the Under-17 category, where Nauman Khan defeated India’s Shiven Agarwal in straight games to become the Asian Junior Under-17 champion.

The victories mark a significant achievement for Pakistan’s junior squash program and reflect the progress being made in developing young talent at the grassroots level.

Former world squash champion Qamar Zaman congratulated the players on their success, describing the results as an encouraging sign for the future of Pakistani squash.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association President Dawood Khan also praised the young athletes and coaching staff for their dedication and hard work. He noted that regular tournaments and competitive opportunities have played an important role in nurturing emerging players.
