Doctors Successfully Reattach Child’s Hand at Rawalpindi Hospital

Doctors at Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi have successfully performed a complex procedure to reattach the hand of a five-year-old boy.

The child, who is from Jhelum, suffered a serious injury in which his hand was completely severed by a sharp tool.

A medical team led by Dr. Tayyab and Dr. Ambrin carried out the procedure at the hospital.

Microvascular Surgery Restores Blood Flow

According to the doctors, the surgery involved reconnecting the blood vessels and veins using microvascular surgical techniques.

Medical staff said blood circulation was successfully restored in the reattached hand following the procedure.

Doctors explained that reattachment procedures are technically challenging and require precise surgical work, particularly when treating young children.

The successful procedure highlights the role of specialized surgical teams and advanced medical techniques in treating complex injuries.
