Indiana Fever Take Control with 77-60 Win Over Atlanta Dream

INDIANAPOLIS: Kelsey Mitchell scored 19 points, including four 3-pointers, while Aliyah Boston added 15 points as the Indiana Fever defeated the Atlanta Dream 77-60 on Tuesday night, taking a 2-0 lead in their best-of-three playoff series.

Natasha Howard contributed 12 points and five rebounds, and Mitchell also had four assists. Boston finished with five rebounds and three assists, helping Indiana dominate both ends of the court.

Off the bench, Te-Hina Paopao led Atlanta with 11 points, while Rhyne Howard added 10. Despite the effort, the Dream fell 25 points short of their regular-season scoring average. Allisha Gray chipped in nine points and seven rebounds while battling foul trouble and a brief confrontation with fans, who were quickly removed by arena security.

The win marked Indiana’s first postseason victory since October 11, 2015, when they beat the Minnesota Lynx. Hosting their first playoff game since 2016, the Fever fed off the energy of a sellout crowd to secure a decisive victory, bouncing back strongly from their Game 1 loss.

Game 3 of the series is scheduled for Thursday in Atlanta, a city that hasn’t seen a WNBA playoff series win since 2016.
