UAE School Students Must Now Pray Dhuhr in Congregation in Schools

UAE Schools to Include Daily Noon Prayer for Students

The UAE Ministry of Education has announced that public schools across the country will now allocate time each day for students to perform the noon (Dhuhr) prayer in congregation.

Sharing the update on X (formerly Twitter), the ministry emphasized that schools are โ€œhomes of values as much as they are of knowledge,โ€ highlighting the importance of fostering faith alongside education.

A video released alongside the announcement showed students giving the call to prayer, preparing prayer areas, and performing the noon prayer together in designated halls. Many students were also seen expressing excitement and happiness over the new initiative.

This move reflects the UAEโ€™s commitment to promoting both academic learning and moral and spiritual development in schools.
