OGRA Increases RLNG Prices for SNGPL and SSGCL Consumers

OGRA Increases RLNG Prices for SNGPL and SSGCL Consumers

 October 16, 2025

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a revision in Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices for consumers of both Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL). The new rates came into effect on October 1, 2025.

According to OGRA, the price adjustment reflects a slight increase in global LNG import costs, prompting a revision in the Delivered Ex-Ship (DES) price, which serves as the key cost component for imported LNG cargoes arriving in Pakistan.

Revised RLNG Prices for October 2025

The updated rates show an increase of approximately 1.8% to 2% compared to September’s prices.

  • For SNGPL consumers:

    • Transmission price: $11.4381 per mmBtu (up from $11.2365)

    • Distribution price: $12.2300 per mmBtu (up from $12.0127)

    • This represents an increase of about 1.79% to 1.81%.

  • For SSGCL consumers:

    • Transmission price: $10.0585 per mmBtu (up from $9.8620)

    • Distribution price: $11.2304 per mmBtu (up from $11.0106)

    • The rise equals roughly 1.99% to 2.00%.

OGRA noted that these revisions are part of its monthly price review mechanism, ensuring RLNG tariffs accurately reflect international market movements and import-related expenses.

The adjustment follows a modest rise in global LNG benchmarks, driven by seasonal demand and supply dynamics in key international markets.
