Pakistan’s rising wrestling star Hassan Ali brought pride to the nation by clinching a bronze medal in the beach wrestling category at the Asian Youth Games 2025 held in Sama Bay, Bahrain.
🥉 A Proud Moment for Pakistan
Under the guidance of wrestling legend Mohammad Inam Butt, the 17-year-old showcased remarkable skill and determination throughout the event. Despite a tough semi-final loss to Iran’s Sina Shokouhi, who eventually won gold, Hassan bounced back strongly to defeat Tajikistan’s Idris Bakhromov 2-0 and secure his place on the podium.
Earlier in the tournament, Hassan had defeated Jordan’s Marafi Abdul Rahman and Tajikistan’s Bazaarzada, proving his consistency and competitive spirit.
💪 Pakistan’s Medal Tally Rises
With Hassan’s bronze, Pakistan’s total medal count at the Asian Youth Games 2025 has climbed to three — including a silver in volleyball and a bronze in kabaddi.
Meanwhile, Abdul Rehman came close to adding another medal for Pakistan but fell short in the 65kg bronze medal match, losing 2-0 to Jordan’s Zaid Naghouj.
🌟 Bright Future for Young Athletes
The performance of these young Pakistani athletes has reignited optimism for the nation’s sporting future. Despite limited resources, their achievements reflect the growing potential of Pakistan’s youth on the Asian sports stage.
